Tara is a triathlete and attorney living in Philadelphia. Tara grew up swimming and running and, after doing a couple of marathons and two sprint triathlons, signed up for Ironman Lake Placid 2008 on a lark with her sister and brother. While training for IMLP she became immersed in triathlon -- learning the language and how to ride a bike (she's still working on that), and meeting some amazing people whose encouragement, guidance and friendship helped her not only finish the Ironman, but finish ahead of her goal time.

Tara considers running and triathlon training a complement to her work as an attorney, often serving as catalysts for new thought, focus, and perspective. Coming back from an injury that sidelined her for most of the fall and winter, Tara's next big race is Ironman Lake Placid 2009.
